Free Book , 4 Days Left , and Farm Update

Hey 👋

We hope you are having a good week, the sunshine is certainly helping ours and the farm really does feel like it’s in full swing now… by the end of this week we will have filled over a third of our growing beds on the farm already.

Free Hardback Book When You Sign Up

Thanks to the wonderful people at Much Ado Books in Alfriston, we are able to offer a FREE hardback copy of The Vegetarian Option by Simon Hopkinson when you sign up to our CSA Veg Box Scheme for this year.

This is an absolutely wonderful book that lists recipes specific to each vegetable, many of which will be in our boxes this year, so makes it a perfect accompaniment to our veg boxes. (Don’t worry if you have already signed up, you get a free copy too).

Copies will be brought out with your veg box in the first and second week so sign up now to claim yours: https://fanfield.farm/east-sussex-veg-boxes/

Just 4 Days Left to Reserve a Veg Box

We are super excited as our veg boxes start again next week! It has felt like a long Winter but Spring is here and so are our seasonal veg boxes packed full of nutritional veg.

That means however that we need to confirm our veg box numbers and so we have just 4 days to get those that want one signed up for the year. So if you were thinking of getting a veg box from us, including the above free book too, then please do go ahead and sign up as soon as possible: https://fanfield.farm/east-sussex-veg-boxes/

If you have any questions or queries then please do hit reply and ask away!

Farm Update

The farm is really coming to life now, it felt like a long winter but this warm early Spring has really woken everything up and the beds are filling up. We have now planted out over a third of our growing spaces this year including: Kales, Rainbow Chard, Lettuce, Radish, Carrots, Turnips, Spinach, Beetroot and much more.

Plus this week the tomatoes are going in the polytunnel and will start their climb up string to produce thousands of tomatoes this year!

The plant nursery is almost bursting at the seams too with plants nearly ready to go out and with a whole load of plants that are ready for you to grow your own food if you wanted to. You can buy plants for your garden, allotment or windowsill here.

That’s all for this week, we hope we can be bringing veg your way soon, otherwise we will be back with more farm updates next week.

Thanks for your continued support.

Have a great week,

Chris and Emily
